Keepin' It Surreal

5/20/2017 - What is Surrealism anyway? Salvador Dalí was a pioneer of surrealism—juxtaposing absurd objects in dreamlike settings. Using inspiration from Salvador Dalí’s Fantastical Fairy Tales, students in the advanced art classes (grades 10-12) from Cardinal Newman School created works that combined fact and fantasy. These students explored surrealism through many materials, creating mixed media works showcasing their own very unique characters.
